We’ve put together some F.A.Qs to answer any questions that you may have.

What is Pink Parliament?
Pink Parliament is an initiative that aims to increase women’s participation in politics by equipping young women and girls, ages 14-20, with the tools to be bold and effective advocates through professional training, mentorship and networking sessions with political leaders.
What are the benefits?

When are sessions held?
Each cycle of Pink Parliament runs for 12 weeks, beginning on October 11th, International Day of the Girl. The Class of 2025 will conclude on December 21st, 2025.
Sessions will be held every Sunday starting at 2:30 P.M. for 2 & 1/2 hours.
When are pre-sessions held?

Applicants from underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply.
Is there a cost?
The cost of the program is $100 BBD.
A partial or complete waiver of this cost via scholarship will be facilitated on a case-by-case basis.
What does the $100 BBD cover?
All efforts are made to make the project accessible to all young women and girls.
The enrollment fee of $100 BBD will go towards offsetting the program’s costs, including the cost of T-Shirts, stationery, and tours for Pink Parliamentarians.
Why sponsor a young woman or girl?
Sponsorship offers young women and girls who may not be able to afford the cost of the program a chance to participate and be empowered.
What if I’m not interested in elective politics?
Young women and girls who do not have elective political aspirations are still encouraged to apply. While the project largely caters to the parliamentary processes, it also caters to young women and girls who seek to explore careers in the wider political arena such as becoming diplomats, political scientists, etc.
What if I’m over 20 years old and interested?
The project while geared towards persons 20 and under, may need extra hands.
